Happy Friday everyone. Here’s something to reflect on over the weekend perhaps…
Today’s read is about 5-7 minutes. Post read pondering not included.
I’ve heard this called quite a few things, but the premise is the same… the further in time you go from an emotion, the less effect it has. This works for positive and negative feelings, and the great thing this article explains, is the time travel does not have to be literal. Find a comfortable spot, engage your imagination and give it a try.
Want to dissipate a strong negative feeling? Move (in your mind) into the future. Want to feel more energetic? Return in your mind to a time when you were buzzing with energy, and feel the effect. And of course, as in the article use it to “try on” different choices.
Last week’s riddle question and answer; A man while looking at a photograph said, “Brothers and sisters have I none. That man’s father is my father’s son.” Who was the person in the photograph? His son. Hope all the dads had a nice day last weekend.
This week’s riddle is; A father said to his daughter “Two years ago I was three times as old as you, but in fourteen years I shall only be twice as old as you”. What are the ages of each now?
Time for a moment to reflect, I think.
