Happy Friday everyone. Here’s something to reflect on over the weekend perhaps…
Today’s read is about 3-4 minutes. Post-read pondering not included. Some ancient cultures believed that if you named something, it became known, and if it was known, then it could not be feared… I think some things should still be feared even if we do name them. Parasocial could be one of them. Building meaningful relationships is a part of being an emotionally intelligent human. Remote, even virtual friendships may serve a purpose in some extreme cases, but for most of us, they might be an easy substitute for what we really need. Like processed foods are poor for long-term health, processed relationships are likely to have a similar effect.
Last week’s riddle question and answer; If Theresa’s daughter is my daughter’s mother, then what is my relationship to Theresa? My Mother. Simple, unless you overthought it…
This week’s riddle is; What can you make that no-one, not even you, can see?
Time for a moment to reflect, I think.
