Friday Reflections 1003

Mar 10, 2023

Happy Friday everyone. Here’s something to reflect on over the weekend perhaps…

Today’s read is a heavy one – about 16-20 minutes. Post read pondering not included. I find the patterns described very interesting, and we can immediately be led by our unconscious bias to see links, that are acknowledged later in the article to be a little tenuous, and there are as many unrelated pieces of evidence. Even so, the cyclical nature of society is curious… what do you see?

Last week’s riddle question and answer; A mountaineering family was going on a hiking holiday. The second morning they were all found dead in their cabin. The coroner declared they all died from drowning. There was no sign of foul play, nor was there running taps or leaking water heaters. It had not rained in 10 days and they were far away from any river, lake or dam. How did they drown? A few correct answers, well done to those who said they were in a ship/plane cabin that sank in the ocean.

This week’s riddle is;  A woman was exploring a mountain alone when she slipped and lost her grip. She was 200mt from the summit when she slipped, and yet found herself at the top of the mountain after the slip. How did this happen?
