Friday Reflections 1407

Jul 14, 2023

Happy Friday everyone. Here’s something to reflect on over the weekend perhaps…

Today’s read is about 4-6 minutes. Post-read pondering not included. My RAS (Reticular Activating System) [or maybe the algorithm] has been pointing me toward a few of these articles this week. In a different one, they used a great analogy; Imagine I have 10 playing cards, 7 of which are worth 10 dollars, and 3 are worth 100 dollars. You can only pick 4 cards. What method would you use to get the best return? It’s up to chance, right? Now, imagine I told you what 3 cards are worth 10 times the value. Of course you would pick them every time. Now, imagine the 10 cards are a to-do list. If you’re randomly choosing items or just starting at the top, you’re leaving the maximum value of your actions to chance. If you stop, allocate values to the list, and prioritise them according to those values, then you’re maximising your output every day. That is one of the points written here;

Last week’s riddle question and answer; What goes in the water red, and comes out black? Forged Steel

This week’s riddle is;  What can be right and never wrong?

Time for a moment to reflect, I think.
