Friday Reflections 1602

Happy Friday everyone. Here’s something to reflect on over the weekend perhaps…

Today’s read is about 7-9 minutes. Post-read pondering not included. Thank you to a reader who suggested this article. It misses my least favorite jargon word – “moving forward…”  ugh. I also believe there is more management speak that happens but doesn’t really mean anything. This week I had a client tell me of their frustration about the lack of accountability in his team. “So, what do you want them to do?” I asked. “Take ownership”, he said. “But how?” I asked. “You know, be more responsible…” I don’t know about you, but I still am not clear on his expectations. Eventually he described to me what those words look like. When he described actions and behaviors he finally made himself clear. He can now articulate this to the group, and they will be clearer too. Simple language. Are you guilty of management speak?
